What started as a family holiday in 2018 quickly became something much more. We fell in love with the peaceful surroundings, beautiful countryside and relaxed pace of life at Fonclaire, and before long we made the life-changing decision to leave Southern England and call this special place home.

Today, Fonclaire Holidays is proudly run by three generations of our family. Carol, Jen and Chris work together to welcome guests, while Amelia, Joshua and Oliver are growing up enjoying everything this wonderful corner of the Limousin has to offer.

Our aim has always been simple: to create the kind of holiday we would love ourselves. A peaceful place where families can relax, children can explore, anglers can unwind by the lakes, and couples can enjoy time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Since taking over Fonclaire, we've continued to invest in the site while preserving its friendly, family-run atmosphere. Recent improvements include a heated swimming pool, a brand-new accessible shower block, enhanced fishing facilities, new glamping accommodation and a range of facilities designed to make every stay as comfortable as possible.

Many people will recognise Fonclaire from Channel 4's "A New Life in the Sun", where we shared the highs, the challenges and the reality of building a new life in France. While plenty has changed since then, our commitment remains the same – offering a warm welcome, peaceful surroundings and memorable holidays for every guest who visits.
